Coverage & roles

Territories and roles, set up in minutes.

Drag a role into your model to create territories. Add supporting roles like SEs and BDRs once for a whole branch. Give an account more than one territory. Then push it all to Salesforce's native Territory Management, your own Account fields, or both.

Key capabilities

Every seat filled, every account covered

Drag-and-drop setupDrop a territory role on a node to create territories; drop a supporting role to cover the whole branch.
Several territories per accountAn account can sit in more than one territory, and role priority picks a single account owner.
Supporting rolesSEs, BDRs and managers on top of every territory: as overlays, inherited down the tree, or with distinct books.
Native Territory ManagementPush territories, account links and territory users with their roles to Salesforce ETM.
Your own Account fieldsMap any role to an Account field you already have in Salesforce — alongside ETM or instead of it.
Temporary coverageCover an open seat until the new hire starts, then switch ownership on that date.
How it works

From empty node to a fully staffed model

Drag a role

Drop a territory role like Account Executive onto a node and choose how many territories to create.

Pick the owners

Choose a rep for each territory, or leave a seat open and cover it until the hire starts.

Add supporting roles

Drop an SE or BDR on the node and every territory below inherits it, or give each its own book.

Push to Salesforce

Send it to Territory Management, your own Account fields, or both, after a preflight review.

Temporary coverage

Cover today without breaking tomorrow's plan

Accounts keep their permanent territory while a covering territory handles them for a role. Standard balancing ignores coverage, so the new rep's book stays intact.

A manager steps in

Point the open territory at its manager while you hire.

Hand-pick subsets

Give specific accounts to specific neighbours.

Keep current owners

Leave accounts with whoever has the relationship today.

Run Auto-Balance

Cover the territory in bulk with Smart Assign, to goal.

  • Track coverage on a timeline, and save or restore it as a collection
  • Schedule cleanup for the day the new rep starts
  • Push coverage to Salesforce like any other assignment
Multiple territories

One account, several territories — and the whole team

An account can belong to more than one territory (say a regional team and an industry team), each with its own supporting roles. Role priority decides the single account owner, and every territory and role can go to Salesforce the way your org already works.
  • Native Territory Management: territories, account links and territory users with their roles
  • Custom Account fields you already have, mapped role by role
  • Account Owner and native Account Teams, if you use them
Overlay roles

Coverage for the whole account team

Model Territory Owners, Supporting roles like SEs and BDRs, and Managers. Give two BDRs distinct books inside one territory and Auto Balance Supporting Roles splits them to goal, then honors those books when pushing to Salesforce.
  • Paste a roster from your clipboard to fill roles fast
  • Role groups and inherited roles cover a whole branch at once
  • Spot mismatches and unassigned roles in one filter
Departures

When a rep leaves, the book never goes dark

When a rep leaves, Auto-Balance spreads their accounts across the team so every book stays balanced, or a teammate covers them until the backfill starts. Accounts with open deals can stay locked with the right people.
Roster import

Fill every seat from a pasted roster

Copy territory and owner columns from your hiring plan and paste them in. BoogieBoard shows how each name matches your territories, creates the ones that don't exist yet, and fills every seat in one step.
  • Review the pasted data before anything changes
  • Create territories with owners, or assign supporting roles
  • Find unassigned roles and rep mismatches in one filter
FAQ

Coverage questions

Does temporary coverage end automatically when the new hire starts?

Yes. Coverage has effective dates and a scheduled cleanup, and date-effective assignments switch ownership to the new rep on their start date.

How do ownership changes reach Salesforce?

Push the committed changes after a preflight, or let a scheduled push and the daily transition automation update owners on the effective date.

Do BDRs get displaced when coverage changes?

No. Supporting roles are modeled separately from ownership, so covering or moving an owner doesn't reshuffle the overlay team.
