Transcript

Boogie Board is a territory design and management tool, so many of our customers will use Salesforce's Enterprise Territory Management feature. It's good for labeling accounts and associating users with territories. And Boogie Board can be a system that feeds that with territory definitions, business logic hierarchies, and users. Let's jump in and look at an example. Let's start by looking at the Waste Management account in Salesforce. The Waste Management account is assigned one territory, this ENT AE23 territory which is coming from my Boogie Board Pied Piper territory model. This model is in an active state and it was assigned this morning at 10:06am with this assignment come users that are assigned to that territory. Angelina Jolie is my account executive. You can see she's also the account owner on the account. She's not the only one We have other auxiliary users who are also attached to the territory. Business development representatives, Channel Manager and on down the list. Associating multiple users with a territory is going to help you with downstream automations like Opportunity Management and various reporting needs that you may have. Let's look where that account is actually coming from in Boogie Board. I'm in Angelina Jolie's territory ENT AE23. that the Waste Management account is associated with with her territory. You can also see that I am in the Pied Piper scenario. The scenario directly matches with the territory model that's in Salesforce. If I go into my role assignments, I can look more deeply at this territory. Angelina Jolie is attached as the account executive which is our primary territory owner role. But I can also have these other roles. Roger Federer is the Business development representative in a supporting role. These other three roles are inherited. They're across the whole team.

You can see the channel manager, Sales manager and solution Engineer also appear on other territories in the same team. If my BDRs weren't connected to my AE territories, the Waste Management account might be attached to two separate territories within the same territory model. We'll save that more complicated setup for another video. Another thing that could happen here is that the account could be attached to another territory model. Perhaps this is the model for the fiscal year that we're in currently. And you may have the account in another model that is in a planning state which will go live at the start of next year. So Boogie Board can ingest your existing ETM model, which makes setting things up and reconciling to meet your current state really simple. Or it can create or update ETM models in Salesforce. So you can see here there are three territory models in our Salesforce being written by Boogie Board. Boogieboard Pied Piper is our active state model. It's the one that's actually informing account to territory assignment. Right now we've got two other models in our planning state for our future. If I view my hierarchy in Salesforce, I can see that the node structure that we've created in Salesforce is the same as that which exists within Boogie Board. Same with the logic, I'm able to push that directly from Boogie Board into Salesforce. When I'm building a new scenario in Boogie Board, I can simply click to import an existing ETM model. I just select which one and I'll get a preview. It says, hey, we're going to download all these different nodes, all these different roles that you have in your model, all of these different users, and import them into Boogie Board. And now you have a new, fresh model from which to work from. This is great for customers who are implementing Boogie Board for the first time.
