Manage Unassigned and Unrouted Accounts

How do you find and fix unassigned or unrouted accounts?

Territory design breaks down when accounts fall out of the routing logic or make it to a team but never receive an owner. Those gaps need to be visible before they become operational problems.

This walkthrough starts in BoogieBoard's node tree navigator, where Salesforce accounts are filtered into the right team and node. An unrouted account can be identified directly from the routing report.

At the team level, unassigned accounts can be reviewed in the account list with the current Salesforce owner and the relevant account fields. From there, the team can decide whether the gap is intentional or needs to be corrected.

BoogieBoard gives RevOps and sales leaders a practical workspace for triaging those accounts, assigning them, and keeping parent-child rules intact.

Manage unassigned accounts and unrouted accounts using Boogie Board. Let's start with the Node Tree Navigator. This is my filtering system by which I take all of the accounts which are being live ingested from Salesforce and I label them and filter them down to the correct team, the correct node. You can see I'm on my North American node here, which has some really simple filter logic setup. Billing country is either one of these two values, United States or usa. You can see I've got one account that is unrouted. It's not able to make it to the next level, which would be either my software division or my hardware division. So I can simply click into this report and I can see that it's this edge communication. Now, I could go on and triage that account and find my data issue, but today I want to look more at unassigned accounts at the team level. If I look at my enterprise sales team, I can see that I have 1600 assigned accounts. Now, maybe that's intentional and maybe it's not. So let's go into the actual account list and dive deeper into the unassigned accounts. I can see which accounts are unassigned, who the current account owner is in Salesforce.

I can go check the information from Salesforce. I could look at all the different fields that I have coming in to try to figure out what's going on in if this is unintentional or I might be bringing a sales leader in here to actually make changes based on unassigned accounts. Say these are the ones that you can work from. You take the Asana Real Estate group, retail Group, and you can assign it to Rip Hamilton. Using the family rules that we have set up for Parent child. You can do a lot with unrouted accounts and unassigned accounts to give you the exact territory model your company's looking for.
